The Higher Education Authority (HEA) has in accordance with the provision of the Higher Education Act No. 4 of 2013 and Statutory Instrument No. 25 of 2016 Part IV Regulation 17, gazetted the classifications of recognized and registered Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), classified Gideon Robert University, a Tier1 Zambia's Private University being able to offer doctorates:
The classification of universities was published in the Gazette Notice No. 944 of 2024, which appeared in the Government Gazette No. 7638, Vol. LX, No. 103, dated Friday, 6th September, 2024, Lusaka. This gazetted list was as of 31st March, 2024
